Overview
MarketHire is seeking a Finance & Accounting Evaluator on a 12-week remote contract to assess AI-generated financial statements, reconciliations, financial models, accounting memos, spreadsheets, and slide decks for accuracy, rigor, and domain quality. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP, strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills, excellent written English, and sound evaluation judgment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated financial statements, reconciliations, financial models, accounting memos, spreadsheets, and slide decks against quality rubrics.
- Identify calculation errors, accounting-treatment errors, presentation errors, misapplied standards, and unsupported assumptions.
- Assess the accuracy, rigor, and domain quality of AI-generated finance and accounting work.
- Write clear, structured feedback and provide justifications for every score.
- Review the application of US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP in evaluated materials.
- Follow complex instructions and apply evaluation criteria consistently across varied documents and work products.
- Reason through ambiguity and distinguish clearly between what is known and what is being inferred.
- Spot subtle errors in polished financial documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
- Help refine grading criteria and iterate on evaluation practices based on feedback from senior reviewers.
- Work independently, learn new tools quickly, and incorporate feedback throughout the engagement.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in accounting, audit, FP&A, corporate finance, or controllership.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets and slides.
- Excellent written English.
- Ability to follow complex instructions, reason through ambiguity, and spot subtle errors in polished work.
- Clear separation of what you know from what you are inferring.
- Ability to work independently, learn new tools quickly, and take feedback well.
- Based in and working from the US, Canada, or UK.
- Availability for 30–40+ hours per week for the full 12 weeks.
